DESIGN
All main profiles are Five-chambered with galvanized steel reinforcement carried in sealed cavities as required. Glazing and casement rebates are drained.
Glazing gaskets and weather seals are retained in purpose designed continuous groove seal system. Glazing gaskets are butt-jointed at corners. Weather seals are continuous at corners with butt joints at the head.
Special design Glazing beads are hollow construction with purpose designed groove for glazing gasket or co-extruded beads with an integral gasket.
LIGHT FASTNESS AND WEATHER RESISTANCE
Tested in accordance to DIN 53386: testing of the weather resistance under natural conditions and to: DIN 53387 Simulation of open-air weathering through filtered xenon-air radiation and sprinkling, allowing a colour change that is rated 3-4 on the Grey scale.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance free-washable with (mild) detergent.
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
Refer to Technical Department for further information.
EXPANSION OF uPVC (White)
The coefficient of linear expansion of uPVC is:
0.07 mm per degree C per meter, but can only be considered in full, when the profile is warmed up all the way through. However, as the profile is multi chambered, full through warming will not occur and for this reason this figure can be safely divided by two in practice.
Suggested expansion allowance.
(White) = 1.5 mm per m.
